Mission Statement:
Youth Ballet West (YBW) is a non-profit making organisation offering young dancers in the west of Ireland the opportunity to audition for, and perform in professionally choreographed ballets of the highest standard.
By providing the opportunity for young dancers to gain performance experience, train with top-class teachers, work with acclaimed choreographers and work closely with professional
dancers we aim to lead these young dancers to fully develop their artistic potential.
YBW seeks to introduce ballet to diverse audiences, fostering a
life-long support of the arts.
“Membership of Youth Ballet West is free to those dancers selected at audition, as we are delighted to have support from Galway City and County Councils and the Arts Council,” said Phyllis Hayes, director of Youth Ballet West. “We are a non-profit making organisation offering young dancers in the west of Ireland the opportunity to perform in professionally choreographed ballets of the highest standard, while they continue to train with their own teachers.”
